Chemical-Resistant Perfluoroelastomer (FFKM)
Our peroxide-cured FFKM formulations are developed specifically where broad-spectrum chemical resistance is the primary requirement. While the upper temperature ceiling is lower compared to high-temperature FFKM grades, these compounds deliver a highly cost-effective sealing solution without compromising on chemical inertness making them well-suited for petrochemical operations, semiconductor facility maintenance, and any process involving aggressive organic solvents.
We stock multiple formulations to address varying application demands, and our team can develop tailored compound solutions where standard grades fall short. All materials are available in both finished component and semi-finished stock form.

Thermal Resistant Perfluoroelastomer
Our nitrile-cured FFKM formulations are engineered for applications where elevated temperature performance is the critical requirement. Building on the broad chemical resistance inherent to all FFKM materials, these compounds push the upper service limit to 330°C providing a meaningful performance advantage over standard peroxide-cured grades in thermally demanding environments.
These formulations are particularly well-suited to high-temperature process sealing in petrochemical plant operations, semiconductor process equipment, and applications involving organic solvents at elevated temperatures where standard FFKM compounds would be pushed beyond their reliable service range.
As with our full FFKM range, we offer multiple standard formulations to match varying process conditions, alongside a custom compounding service for applications with specific or unusual requirements. All grades are available in finished component and semi-finished stock form.

Food Grade Perfluoroelastomer — FDA Grade FFKM
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has established a specific regulatory framework governing the use of rubber materials in food-contact applications, set out under FDA CFR 21.177.2600. This regulation carries both U.S. legal standing and broad recognition as an international reference standard for food-grade rubber compliance.
The regulation is structured across multiple sections: Sections A through D define the general material requirements for rubber products intended for repeated food contact use, while Sections E and F set out the permissible extractable limits for rubber seals in contact with aqueous and fatty food media. Extractable testing is conducted using water and n-hexane as reference solvents, with defined acceptance thresholds that the finished material must satisfy.
It is important to note that the FDA does not issue product-level approvals under CFR 21.177.2600. Instead, the regulation provides a compliance framework that manufacturers and end users reference when specifying and selecting food-contact rubber materials. Compliance is formally demonstrated when the final product manufacturer issues an FDA conformance certificate supported by extractables test data.
It should also be understood that a component manufactured from an FDA-compliant rubber material is not automatically suitable for every food-contact application. Technical suitability for a specific process taking into account temperature, media, pressure, and contact duration must be evaluated independently of material compliance status.
Food and medical grade perfluoroelastomers, by virtue of its outstanding chemical inertness, very low extractables, and thermal stability, is widely adopted across food processing, hygienic equipment, and food safety applications. We supply FDA-compliant FFKM formulations in both finished component and semi-finished stock form, with supporting compliance documentation available upon request.
